How to set up your own Online Business

You've written down all the resources you can put into your business, but what do you do if you find you simply haven't got the time, money or skills to start the business of your dreams? The answer is simple - you start wherever you are now. Don't let go of your dream - keep it in mind, but start with something smaller, something manageable which will get you started and give you the money to reinvest and keep on reinvesting until you have enough to follow your original dream.

How would you like start creating income, a business opportunity which will earn you a residual income? In the past, it was mainly recording artists or authors who earned that type of income, one which continued to roll in long after they had put in the work.

Since the arrival of the internet, many opportunities have arisen to earn a few hundred pounds or dollars a month on a recurring basis. You may not realise it, but there are ordinary people making extraordinary amounts of money on the internet.

There are endless possibilities, even if you have no experience and it's a lot cheaper than setting up a bricks and mortar business. However, it takes commitment and hard work, but if you're not afraid of that, the sky's the limit.

What you are aiming for is that residual income I talked about earlier - a regular income which continues to come in after you have done the work. And the easiest way to do this is affiliate marketing, which simply means selling someone else's products.

They will then pay you a percentage of the profits. The advantages are that you don't have to create your own product or worry about sending it out. Your job is to simply to market the products . The owner of the product takes care of the ordering, delivery and deals with any problems or refunds. The best products to sell this way are digital ones, such as ebooks, downloadable audios and videos as they are offered with high commissions - you can expect anything from 50-75% of the full price. The reason sellers can afford to give away so much is that once the product has been created, it can simply be downloaded over and over again. So there are no ongoing production costs and of course no postage.

There is a lot of information out there on how to make money as an affiliate. One of the best I've come across is based on a work at home success story - how Nathan Stark made $3.7 million last year on the internet.

The step by step method is explained in 4 e-books, the first giving an overview of the whole system and the others the 3 main stages of earning immediate income, short term income and long term income. The first stage involves very little money but a lot of work, although you can adapt it to suit your own schedule. Then, once you have some money coming in, you invest some of that in marketing and finally you can pay someone else to do all the work you did in the first stage. Once you have established your residual income and are paying someone else to do the donkey work, you will have ditched the day job and this will free up a lot of time to pursue your original dream business - or any other dream you have.
